to Bass Harbor Campground Every Day!

  • Some are camping here....
  • the rest of you come because we are also the Bus Stop for the Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse.
  • Think of it... if you camped here in the first place, you could take the short walk to the most accessible, most photographed Light House in the Eastern U.S. anytime you wanted to.
  • Then, you could take the Island Explorer Bus to see the rest of Mount Desert Island.

Shaded times continue Labor Day to Columbus Day. All Buses Originate from and return to the Village Green in Bar Harbor where you can transfer to other Buses for various routes around Mount Desert Island and off-Island to Bar Harbor Airport.
